High PCH temps

C6H + R7 1800x.
PCH temp on absolute idle after boot is 58°C. (Screenshot)

I am thinking of replacing thermal paste/pad and see if there's any change.
This is the only picture i found with the backside of the PCH heatsink, looks like a thermal pad to me.

Anyone did this or know more about it? Is that idle temp high?

I'm on a test bench with a fan blowing air over the PCH and I'm at 47 degrees. 25 ambient. So, doesn't sound too bad to me if you are in a case with less airflow....

That was on a test bench as well.

Edit: with GPU fans off (i usually keep them at 30%) temp goes to 64°C idle.

PCH still has factory film on and use whatever thermal pad, etc is from factory.

At the time of screenshot room ambient ~25.2C.

Testing was in a modded SilverStone TJ06 case with side panel on.

IIRC there is a thread here on ROG forum, where Raja@ASUS states even ~70C is not unexpected temp for PCH.
