This may not be what you Want to hear... but it should work.

Try EVGA Precision. Not to "Fanboi" this topic but i use EVGA Precision X OC for Fan Control Exclusively(i don't overclock), and while the interface is burdensome (maybe 3% RAM), i trust it with my cards.
(nVidia graphics cards' fans will not spin until they reach 50 Degrees Celcius, this is normal behaviour, however it sucks the life out of them when a fan mechanism can easily be replaced, however the circuitry cannot.)

I plan on getting either an ASUS ROG 1080 or an EVGA LED 1080 to replace my 2x EVGA 4GB GTX 960's in SLI as it has 8GB GDDR5 so i can run Ultra, but until then i am very happy in the Tom Clancy's Games i play using EVGA Precision for silent 30% until 30C then linear upto 100% @ 40C/+.

Good Luck.

Thank you, i will try it, but it's not a real solution and seems like nobody cares enough.

Is the external fan speed setting no longer an option in GPU Tweak?

Same question.
I've been using the external fan control settings on an RX570 for many months. Then that setting dissappeared after updating from Tweak2 1650 on 11-7-2018 to 1670. Uninstalled 1670 and reverted back to 1650, but still no external fan control settings choice. The fan connected to the connector on the RX570 starts spinning when powering on the computer, but stops after several seconds as the computer continues booting. To test the fan itself, removed the fan from the RX570 external fan connector and plugged it into AIO-Pump connector on Rog Strix Z370-I motherboard and it worked. Updated BIOS from 1410 to 1601 hoping the RX570 needed some help sensing the fan was actually connected, but got same result in Tweak2 - the Ext Fan control setting is just not present. Updated RX570 to AMD driver 18.11.1 released 11-8-2018, but still no Ext Fan control setting to use.

I rephrase 8bitg33k's question. Are the External Fan Control settings no longer supported in Tweak2 or is my RX570 external fan sensing circuit just not sensing the fan connected to its external fan connector?
