Just mounted the MB on title and updated everything about its firmware.
I am not able to reach 16x with a GTX970 video card. Stuck at native 8x in UEFI informations.
Tried every PCIe slot but no way.

I hope it is the video card, even if I read that this is a quite common issue.

I mount a 28 lines PCIe processor (I7 7820x) and I haven't mounted any other PCIe device.
Last try is to use BIOS2 (0601) and see what happens.

For the moment I am not able to find another video card.

Any other idea or test to do?

Your 28 lane cpu will only run x16 in slot 1. Look at the chart in the manual. Use bios 1401.

Yes, I know it.
GTX 970 is on slot 1 and alone, no other PCie slots populated.
I do use BIOS 1401.

Reset bios to defaults or try another gpu.

Check CPU socket pins, realigning three pins on CPU socket fixed PCIe x16_1 running at X4 on a VIII Extreme Assembly.

I will check but mobo is new.
I will reseat cpu, cleaning the contacts.
