Asus Maximus IX Code - HOTT CPU Temps, Board Faulty?

So I decided to upgrade to the 8086k and the X Code and it's been nothing but a nightmare so far. I cannot get temps under control at stock settings. I'm beginning to think the motherboard is faulty. 74680

I've broken down and followed this tutorial.
I've also followed Der8auer's guide on Youtube.

I've now tried 2x 8086k chips w/ the same results.
I've also tried 2x H115is w/ the same results.
I've re-seated my cooler numerous times using MX4 and Artic Silver.
I have built and overclocked about 10 rigs in my life and have never had issues like this.

what is oc setting. Share the bios snapshot. Only then we can understand what is wrong. Also share the snap of the corsair monitor for cooler . Link software i mean. we need to know the liquid temps

Is this max is on load and did u try any strest test and it hits that max or durning normal cold boot

I´m shure, that this behavior isn´t the mainboard´s falut.

Perhaps you´ve just forgotten to remove the protection foil of the coolerplate or you made a mistake with mounting ist.

No, I did not forget and I have re-seated multiple times as stated in the OP.

8086k should only require 1.31v to achieve 5.0ghz all cores at stock....my suggestion is to set the XMP...set VCore to auto...set LLC to auto instead of level 6....change AVX from 3 to 0....run P95 version 26.6 which has no AVX ...try that first and see where the voltages and temps land.

Done, I hit 100 C immediately. I even lowered it to 1.28V and same thing.

Something definitely not right...just throwing this out there...but...are your fans on the cooler in the correct direction ??...2 chips and 2 coolers giving the same results kinda tells me that the fans are not in the correct direction for air flow or...there is an issue with that board.

Thanks for the input fellas. Out of frustration I took the board back to Micro Center today and got them to give me an open box Formula for the same price. It never got north of 75*C under full load. I'm gonna say something was definitely going on with that board.

You did well my friend with getting the Formula as a replacement vs your original board !!
