So, has the development of a new better BIOS come to an end?

I'm also eager for a new Bios. I hope they continue improving stability especially with announcement of Zen 2 using the same AM4 socket. I still expect Asus to trail behind other manufacturers if they do add support for the new 7nm CPU. Unsure though they seem to favor Intel....

Has anyone had issues with ram/overall system stability on the last two bios revisions? Anything with AGESA 1.0.0.6 gives me really bad overclocks (way less stable than 1.0.0.2 by a mile) and I get so many more crashes. Im staying on 1.0.0.2 since it's relatively stable but I was interested to see if this is just anecdotal or if others had this issue too

I do not have the CH7 but the X470-Pro, the latest AGESA 1.0.0.6 bios is perfectly stable for me. Haven't had a single crash or program closing since the bios came out. Also, it gives the best benchmarks scores using PBO of all the bioses I've tested. I do not run regular OC, but PBO with minus offset vcore as I think it's the best way to run Ryzen outside extreme OC.

If you try extreme OC the results may be totally different, for me everyday performance is what counts

Nope, it seems like a lot of us are having problems.

From the sounds of it more people are having problems than not.

Instability is a problem on CHVII.
Corsair iCUE seems to be all but broken with the last two most recent updates.
Personally I get this weird thing where my mouse has extreme lag in bios post 1002.
Peripherals connecting and disconnecting is a problem. (Specifically USB connections.)

Maybe I'm just reading the wrong forum posts, but I've yet to see somebody comment on how 1103 or 1201 are either more stable or offer more overclocking headroom for the CHVII, the comments seem exclusively to be about new problems created by these two bios updates.

I don't know if ASUS is done updating their bios or not, considering that Zen2 is coming out later this year, but I very much hope that they will. I've always been the type to update my drivers as soon as they drop, so leaving two broken bios updates on the table makes me feel twitchy. Even just a minor bug fix update would be welcome, something to remedy the front panel USB issues, and the Corsair issues, and the mouse lag issues, and the instability issues. All I want in my bios is stability; if they're not stable then what's the point of downloading them?

Not sure how you can draw that conclusion at all. People who post on forums are the ones with issues, yes... but people who don't have issues, don't usually go on forums to post about how great everything is running.

The groundwork was all done on the CH6 and for many many months this forum was buzzing. By comparison, It's really quiet now. I think that speaks for itself. Well done AMD and Asus.

Just checked ASUS website for this new bios. They are recommending that the chipset driver 10.50.16 be installed before updating to this new bios. One problem, this chipset driver version is not available on their website or on the AMD website. Any ideas?
