Strix Z370-G Red LED no POST :(

Hi everyone, I'm having a lot of trouble.

Yesterday I played PUBG and turned off the pc before I went to bed as usual.

When I went to turn on the PC today, nothing came up on my monitor (PG278Q) my PC did not POST, but the red LED on the motherboard (CPU) lit up.

The fans spin up everything seems normal except the pc will not POST or boot.

So far I have tried several things without any luck:

restarting the pc.
turning off the PSU and pressing the power button for 30 sec
making sure that every cable/wire is plugged in as they should
resetting CMOS via screwdriver to shorten the pins on mobo for 15 sec
trying different RAM configurations
removing GPU
making sure that the cpu cooler is not too tight
reseating the CPU whilst inspecting it for damage or clues (no bent pins or anything obvious on the cpu)
making sure the cooler is mounted correctly
unplugging every USB device both externally and internally
making sure that none of the motherboard screws aren't too tight aswell
removing the cmos battery and waiting 5-10 min

I can't make heads or tails at the moment

my specs are:
i5 8600K (Der8auer delid edition)
Strix Z370-G
EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 Hybrid
Kingston HyperX DDR4 2400mhz
Samsung EVO 960 NVME
Corsair AX860i
NZXT X62

other things, NZXT Grid+ V3 and Hue

I will try to build my pc again outside the case to see if that makes a difference (incase any shorts)

could it be my motherboard or CPU that has died all of a sudden?

Have you tried booting with just the iGPU, taking the 1080Ti and display port out of the equation?

You would need to use the onboard HDMI plus an HDMI equipped monitor for this.

I have tried plugging the Displayport directly in to the motherboard, since I have no option to use HDMI. as for now I have sent both my motherboard and CPU to RMA just in case 😞
