This is funny. I was just about to post about this. I have a Gigabyte Gaming 5 running right next to my C7H. I hit the power buttons on both and notice about 6 seconds difference in the boot times. Just getting to POST is slower on the C7H. I was actually not going to say anything as I'm using the NVME raid and figure it might have some added delay - even though it's super fast. I hope Asus keeps working on this. I abandoned my last MB manufacturer due to lack of fixing all the issues.

I haven't timed mine but it feels like eternity going from cold boot to turning on. Once it's on though it runs fine enough.

Well it's now October and the last BIOS update (0804) was in July. The boot time on the system is still very..... slow. I keep hoping that ASUS will release a BIOS that boots faster - but I'm pretty much losing hope. Therefore, I just leave the system on 24-7 and let it sleep a lot! Any sign of a new BIOS release out there?

All I see on the ASUS ROG Crosshair Hero VII site is Bios version 0804. Where are you looking?

Now I know, don't look for the latest Bios on the ROG MB site along with all the other latest releases of Drivers/Utilities! Thanks for setting me straight, I bookmarked the Forum thread. I don't see any mention of 1001 addressing the slow boot times. I would think that would make the improvement hit list?

For the last several years I have used ASRock MB's for Intel and AMD 1700X systems. Since I wanted to try the 2700X and the ASRock Taichi MB was not available @ B&H Photo I went with Hero VII Wi-Fi ROG MB. I also wanted to try a different MB because the Taichi X370/1700X system boots very slowly compared to the Intel systems. Much to my chagrin the Hero VII Wi-Fi MB/2700X system takes much.... longer to boot than anything I've experienced on any other system! Keep hoping the fix is coming?!

Just curious, why is Bios version 1001 available on the ROG Forum and not available on the MB download site?

Who knows ? I'm very, very dissapointed by about Asus lately... the lack of information and scarce info about every BIOS update is strange. Maybe Intel is in the middle. Sorry Asus but this is the last drop...

    Same here with long post.
I just made brand new build and came from Crosshair V Formula-Z, where the post takes only blink of a time.
There is some post with upcoming bios with Agesa 1.0.0 6 till October.
I hope that new bios could fix that horrible post time. I was so shocked with ness platform I have to wait so long, but truth is that MB's are improving throughout thne time.
