ROG Swift PG258Q - 2nd faulty monitor what to do?

Hi everyone,

I need some advice

Been an ASUS fanboy for two decades and have owned everything from motherboards, graphic cards, monitors and all sorts of peripherals.

On june 20th 2018 I bought an ASUS PG258Q 250 HZ GSync monitor from a danish retailer, expecting to have all sorts of awesome game sessions with this monitor. Sadly after a few days I noticed a graphical glitch vertically in the middle of the screen, like a few pixels vertically was missing, and these missing inches showing up all the way to the left or right of the picture. This does not happen all the time and be fixed by turning to monitor off and back on.

Pic 1 - Glitch on right side of monitor
Pic 2 - Text down the middle with glitch showing
GIF 1 - showing both errors ingame CSGO (GSync Off)

I looked through several forums and saw a pattern with the same model and other models having this glitch as well. Examples hereof:

I then RMA'd the monitor at the retailer and they could not find the error as I had expected, even though I had included pictures that documented what error I got. After they claim I sent them a flawless monitor they wanted to charge me a fee for looking into the error, but after way too much communication where I tried to convince them it had an error they gave in and sent it to ASUS Denmark.

Approx. a week later I got an refurbished monitor :mad:

The box was not sealed very good and the starry legged stand where poking out of the sides of the box:confused:. Anyway I took it home and checked the monitor and saw no errors.

Two weeks later I returned from holiday and last night I saw the error on this new monitor again!!!! :(:(:(

I've spent almost a week discussing with the retailer before they sent it to ASUS where they exchanged my new(!!!) monitor with a refurbished version and I must say I am too tired to start all over. I have heard of bad quality control on other ASUS monitors, but my PG279Q is working flawlessly but this certainly makes me reconsider the next time I need to purchase PC parts.

What should I do?
Are real ASUS representatives actually using this forum?
Is the PG258Q really that faulty?

Please help a frustrated longtime ASUS fanboy 😞
