At a loss of words and irritated

I received my replacement Mobo through advanced exchange RMA yesterday, the board is covered in this sticky stuff. I'm pretty darn upset right now in Asus. I'm also kinda scared to turn on the PC. Does this look normal?

    Does this look normal?

Looks like a mediocre application of conformal coating, because it feels sticky, it may not have fully cured yet. The Mobo was tested, so you should be good to go.

    Likely flux residue. Not harmful.

You got lucky if that is all the problems on your replacement board, that just looks like solder flux that didn't evaporate. You can clean it off with brake cleaner, but then leave the board in a warm dry place at least overnight to let it evaporate. If I were you I'd check the edges of the board to look for any warping. If it's heavily warped, I would send it back, because that repair is not going to last any reasonable amount of time.

The board I got in the same service, is in such a state of dismay, I am sending it back. In my case, literally every edge of the board is warped in a different way. connectors are soldered in at weird angles, the CPU socket has a damaged pin, the entire board is covered in dried flux residue (seriously how hard is it to clean a board?) and plastic/styrofoam particles, and of course it does not boot, just shows 00. I will be making a post with high-res pictures. Sorely disappointed.
