There is only one on the market ATM and it supports NVME. *PCIE SSD is pretty much the same but a lame description. *The going price here is around $55-$60 USD.*
This is it.*
*https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboard-...-M-2-X16-CARD/
**I bought one in when the X299 first hit the shelf thinking I was going to be able to fill it with Samsung 960 pros and boot from it, no dice. Only software raid. I put two 64GB optane sticks in it and could make a bootable raid but the speeds with those is horrendous and 128GB Drive is not worth it. Could only get 8 lanes on it because I’m using up 32 lanes (both x16 slots with 2 1080TIs Returned the card. Another member had 3 of them with 10 280GB 2.5 inch 900p U2 drives with U2-M2 adaptors. And ran an older GPU as that was his purpose.*
It’s actually worth getting now with the Intel 380GB 905P M2 drives. You can use it in an X8 slot but only two M2 slots are active. Wonder how well it would work on the sage board with all those X16 slots with the multiplexer. No matter what you still only have 44 lanes so something has to give. I’m betting that adds some latency too.*

GhostWork
That`s one and the same card...
There`s no "new" or "V2"....It`s just that they differs in naming and detailed writing.
You can only do a bootable raid 0 (or any other raid) by using intel m2 drives.
But you can insert any m2 drives in it but they don`t boot from post.(only software raid)
Sorry for my terrible english

Yep you are right.
But two links you provide lists the same card.
Please look at the picture of PCB there`s no second phase and and m2 connectors are on wrong site.
So from that links they are the same "V1" cards.
And from the asus comparition the only diference I see is that now you can put it not only in x299 MB (maby becose of more power phases)

Do you have any pictures of your setup? Did you use any of these u.2 extension cables to clean things up a bit given the Sata power connector getting in the way? I've got four 905p ready to go for half of your setup. Just waiting for funds for purchasing my case.
