ROG Centurion 7.1 - can I use a standard USB extension lead?

Hi, my computer is away from my desk, so I had to literally buy extension leads for every single component I use on my desk. Now that I have bought the headset, the provided lead is naturally too short for me to place the base comfortably on my desk.

Can I buy a standard USB extension lead and use it with the provided 2-1 USB lead to connect it to the base? I understand I could use an HDMI extension lead but I rather have the base within my reach instead.

Thx!

Thank you all for your answers. For those who might be facing a similar scenario, I can confirm you can use a USB 3.0 3m extension cable to connect the provided Y cable to the AMP base and everything works fine.

Most of the time, one USB connector is fine for the Centurion.

Slightly over 500mA (per USB port) may be needed sometimes, but likely to happen unless you have a habit of leaving the lighting on static and all channels on full bolt.
