I don't have anything special configured, so I'm not sure what I can check to try to determine what is happening. Any thoughts?
I have experience similar problem like yours with FW 32799. Revert back to FW 32738 works for me.

    VPN Fusion

It's been a while now (and even with this new firmware) That VPN FUSION stopped working in my router, it doesn't matter if I add or not exceptions to the list, the router will connect every single device in my home to the VPN server.

The way I see it, ASUS has left the building (GT-AC5300)

But do they really think someone that had problems with RT-AC5300 or GT-AC5300 will buy again these X router!? I am surely NOT!!! And I know a lot of people that had problems with it wont also. Way to go ASUS!!!

Are you stating that reverting to FW 32738 repaired the AIMesh? Interesting as I have the GT & the RT and reverted both back, reinitialized both routers and still no luck. I will give another chance if this works.

Hahaha... You see my friend. You are one drop in sea of users that have problems. So, we will need to wait (someone wont) and see.

I am definitely NOT buying Asus router EVER AGAIN.

I must make BIG apologies to ASUS and I pull back every single bad word I said about WiFi connection problems I had with my GT-AC5300. I have just found out what was the cause for the problem. I cant believe for my self. Problem was with CelFi Pro. Booster was working on basicly same 5Ghz connection as GT-AC5300. Depending on the setup and location of CelFi Pro, signal from 5Gh band 2 came and went. But when all my 5Ghz connections went out I thought GT was dead for sure. Turns out that when I did make my final position setup for CelFi Pro, GT was in the middle between NU (network unit) and CU (coverage unit). Then It signaled me that 5 Ghz is off totally. I then checked connection range spectrum for CelFi Pro and saw that it was switching 5Ghz all-around constantly. Then I turned off my GT and tested cellular network speeds on which I had problem with, and saw huge network speed upgrade. After that I switched CelFi Pro off and turned GT on. And there I saw my months old problem. CelFi Pro was constantly interfering with GT on 5Ghz band. All the problem was that I was thinking all the time the CelFi Pro was communicating between its NODs on 2.4Ghz... Or some other non commercial frequency.

So to summer up. Once again sorry for bad words and here to all that might come across similar problems. One big lesson from this. Check your surroundings first, than make some statements.

VPN Fusion issues resolved with beta firmware

Hi I experienced similar issues with the latest released version 384.32799:
    1. VPN fusion unable to translate ExpressVPn .ovpn file for VPN server hostname.
    2. Internet connection disconnects if exception list of devices is activated to connect through VPN with Internet as default.
    3. Only works if all devices default to connect via VPN or directly to internet.
    4. GUI slow to changing from Network map to VPN screen

Based on forum discussion I upgraded my firmware to the beta version 3.0.0.4.384_44603 and Viola my issues are resolved

    1. Now I am able to selectively exclude devices to go through VPN while default is directly to VPN.
    2. GUI slowness resolved.
    3. VPN Fusion works as advertised.
    4. Firmware is able to translate VPN hostname without hardcoding IP{ address.

However this version does not seem to support AIMESH and can longer connect to AIMESH node. There is no icon for AIMESH in network map screen.

Guess you cant have it all. Hopefully this version 3.0.0.4.384_44603 will be relased officially with the AIMESH issue resolved.
