I'm having the same problem. And why not an official answer?

From what I've read in this forum, those that reported they resolved their USB 3.0 connectivity issues not only installed the latest Fresco Logic USB 3.0 driver, but also ran AsPatch.exe in the installation file set.

Obviously, this didn't help everyone, as there are multiple causes, but I would be sure to do this first if experiencing this issue.

And like stated above, this same drive(s) plugged into any of the USB 2 ports, will stay connected for hours on end. Oh, and for further ammunition, these drives stay connected to the USB 3.0 ports on all my other systems. I hope there is a fix for this.
I just purchased inpiron 5520 last night i got same problem. there are 4 usb 3.0 ports. 2 on left and 2 on right side. 2 ports on left side works well no problem there but 2 3.0 ports on right side ejects my 3.0 wd drive after a few seonds(15-30 seconds max)detects it again then eject again, this keeps on going(loop) also 2.0 drives works well with my right ports....i hope they fix it. i've been searching for a few hours now people are saying there problem with win7....
