Download BIOS version 1801 or the stable BIOS you previously had.
Extract the BIOS file to a formatted FAT32 USB stick.
Right click on the BIOS file and rename it to STXX99.CAP (the manual left this out on page 2-13).
https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1030124/
Shut down your computer (power should still be applied to motherboard).
Plug the USB into the USB BIOS Flashback port.
Press the Flashback button until the Flashback LED blinks.

When the Flashback LED stops blinking after 2 to 3 minutes, you are done.
Hope this works for you!

Hi,
Why which processor are you using ?
Were you affected by kb4100347 that killed overclocking on broadwell-e processors ?
If so use Inspectre to disable the spectre protection instead
Download it to your desktop and right click it and select run as administrator
Select Disable spectre and exit.
Restart.

Hi,
Yeah meltdown crap hit us all first with performance hits
Then good old MS hit us again with adding spectre protection to add insult to injury
Disable both if you want I do.
