VRAM management has become a lot more accessible in the last few years thanks to DirectX12. Developers have a lot more control of what is needed in vbuffer and what isn't. A lot of the time, however, you'll see users quoting overlays showing how much vbuffer is being taken up. This has never been indicative of how much is being used, only what has been allocated. This is almost entirely controlled by middleware in DX11.
I wouldn't be concerned with anything less than 4K, and even then it's mostly a non issue.

Hey man long time. I have not been at EVGA for quite some time. Spend some time at OCN but not as much there as I used to either.
Yeah the gpu's have come a long way. I still got my old 3960X here somewhere. That baby could bench all day at 5.4. It was a great chip.7980XE on Asus ApexVI

No kidding.....when I look back at some of my Bench scores with the 3930K I had that chip running at 5.2 Ghz (wasnt stable but could get thru Benches).....Im over at OCN as well every now n then.....prretty happy with htis 9900K....I really hummed and hawed at going RVIE and 9900X...BUT given the lower frequencies simply couldnt justify it.....(certainly dont need a ll those cores.........was different back in the X79 days as those 39xxK chips with 6/12 Cores could overclock like the banshy
.....the only thing I sacrificed with this z390 build was the (Quad Ch vs Dual Ch Memory.....and 1080Ti's running x8/x8 vs x16/x16.....
...but I have to admit I am "considering" selling my MXIE / 9900K and going RVIE or Apex XI (Apex XI looks better for OC'ing) and 9900X....."just because"
btw my Time Spy Score below in my Sig....I believe the Time Spy Extreme Score I had was around 8K.....

About all I can squeeze on air. Blocks will be here Monday.
Same everything as before except jacked slider one more to 1810 to get 2085 GPU core
Power limit is deciding factor and short of extreme cooling I don't think it will do much better. I normally just crank the voltage to max before anything else. I found with the 2080Ti its better to start raising the Hz until it has issues then raise the voltage no more than 50% up. Go to max on the slider with voltage and you just hit power limit prematurely. I was at 1800 on the Hz with no volatge increase and never hit power limit, got to like 120% which leaves 5% to go. 1810 and 50% on the voltage slider and this is the result right on the hairy edge of power limit actually hitting it briefly twice.
BTW the OSD for GPU tweak is garbage. enabling it makes the run stutter and drops the score by 3K!
