Well, Intel won't surpass AMD's core count. I thought they would come back with higher values 😛
Just wondering what Intel has in store for new motherboard model's 🙂

It's like bottled water, taken from the clear springs of Poland, where it was purified by expatriated, French born Jews attempting to rebuild their post WWII empires.

Idiots will replace what is not required of replacement. And pay for a beverage they can get for free out of their own tap. Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
I'd like to deploy my troops in her country.

X599 Power management to that socket will be interesting.

X599/LGA3647 is just Xeon (Skylake Bronze) stuff, maybe plus a few consumer features, maybe minus a few enterprise features. Just like i9-X processors.
Z399/LGA2066 apparently isn't "Extreme" anymore so now it's called a "Z" part, lol.

It seems like Intel is just rebranding stuff ... migrating (low-end) enterprise platforms into their HEDT/workstation market, migrating HEDT into their mainstream market. Basically just shuffling categories around so that Intel product families always have something at the top-end with far better spec than AMD.

Rebranding = offering "new" products while not actually innovating or competing.

Some pictures saying how Skylake X/SP architect still better even if it was performance hit due Spectre & Meltdown patch microcode.
Tested under load optimized default. XMP 3200 16-18-18-38 2T 0200004D Microcode deploy.
The benchmark those optimized to use both 2 FMA-512-bit unit show the real performance of Skylake X/SP architect.

By architect inside , Our exist Skylake X SKU comparable as XEON Scalable Gold due its has 2 FMA 512-bit unit.
Z399 what was refreshing X299 like the same as Z390 bring all feature we know (USB 3.1 Gen 2 , RST 16 / ME 12 , etc. ) to support 1151V2 platform.

X599 was the rebrand of C620 series chipset for 2-socket platform for consumer.

Due the Skylake SP/X architect was first debut on our platform. Intel may stickly to tweaking its few step before release newiest architect on Sapphire Rapid .

The last Skylake SP / X architect was Icelake SP/X architect will elimininate all kind of bottleneck aways.

In my opinion , We must waiting for ICE LAKE SP/X SKU better than other lakes.
