What's the chance of the "Something else is coming" having 3xDP connections instead of 2xHDMI and 2xDP? This is the only reason I'm not buying a Strix card. I am currently waiting for a Trio X but what I really want for Christmas is an ASUS 2080 Ti Matrix Platinum with 3xDP :P

I think ASUS will launch some special edition of GPU.
But problem for them is because they need to chase waterblock manufacturers to install them.
I had 2-3 premium Air cooled GPU with extreme PCB and extremely high fabric clock.
All of them become loud and hot after 1-2 years and need watercooling.
Than customers need to remove shroud and made some kind of custom AIO cooling and that look terrible, only graphic processor is cooled, VRM have 80mm fan or nothing.
From other side they could launch Matrix with waterblock in some premium box. That's dream of everyone but price look totaly different.
That's hardware I like to see ASUS RTX2080Ti Matrix with pre-installed full cover waterblock in premium box, some little stuff inside.
I every day wear ASUS ROG braclet and love such things. ROG USB, VGA Holder (Anti Sagging), ... labels, etc...
I'm not fan of SLI, I like one but valuable premium GPU.
But I was afraid if I wait little more ASUS will not launch such beautifull card as Poseidon Pascal.
For me he was nicer than any previous Matrix, from every side.
But one part of me believe that new ROG GPU could be even nicer.
But now I need to easy save money for 2020 and DDR5 platform.
32GB RAM DDR5, 10 Cores with HT, Rampage series, most likely Apex.
I can't find money for i9-9xxx series, I have opportunity for half price Rampage VI Apex, brand new, in box.
At least i9-9800X.

My faith in ASUS graphic cards back because in past I had problems with 2 ASUS GPU.
But back then EVGA dominate with Classified models and no one was even close to them.
I remember when they launch GTX580 Classified Ultra... Jesus, that beast was so much above other models.
But Poseidon work well and It's enough for my needs for now.
ASUS start to make great graphic cards with Maxwell generation and Pascal, before that they didn't pay attention on premium class so much.
Now I didn't found no one who have same GPU Score out of box as mine Poseidon, except other people with Poseidon.
It's faster than GTX1080Ti K|NGP|N out of box, one guy post score and I posted mine and Poseidon is little faster.
But if ASUS launch some Matrix with Waterblock... I will be seriously jelous. waterblock out of box, higher fabric clock, ROG style, below their recognizable PCB and VRM.
Because Matrix Liquid Cooled is better than Poseidon.
That's best scenario, launch premium model with waterblock and you don't need to think who produce him for customers.
Because premium GPU need to work on AIO or Water to show max performance.

You don’t want a posiden if they use the same lame hybrid junk from the last attempt. It’s just a tube running through the air heat sink. Better off jumping over the cliff both feet and getting the card you want with a decent waterblock, especially after ASUS lifted the warranty exclusion in the US market anyhow for removing the stock cooler. You will get much better performance, even with one of the budget friendly blocks. Heatkiller, EKWB and bitspower all make good blocks.*

The Heatkiller RTX blocks look nice. If I were inclined to do another water cooled build, those are the ones I would use.

Justin tends to be aggressive/extreme when he feels a need to enlighten others. At times, he can be very helpful, and I like his objectivity, so we let a lot of it fly. Maybe he was having a bad day, heh.
These integrated solutions arent made to compete with the expanding custom water cooling scene. However, they have an audience because full-bore DIY loops dont appeal to everyone.Last edited by Raja@ASUS; 12-24-2018 at 12:41 PM.
