I have problems with sound in my Maximus X hero.

I installed the latest drivers (clean install) and I have cracking sound in some games and movies. Also I have poping sound when I restart/start my PC.I tried disabling fast boot on windows but no luck.

I uninstalled the driver and use Microsoft drivers and I don't have problems.I want to use some features from Asus software..

I am disappointed with Asus support. This is 300 euro motherboard..

Hey Andrew. Please see this large thread on your exact issue:
https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?97220-Maximus-X-Audio-Popping/page30
I've dealt with this issue since the Z170 board and Asus has yet to address it (correct me if I'm wrong). This is my last Asus board until they address this issue. My friends avoided Asus boards on their builds because they saw and tried helping me with my audio issues a long time ago.

Some stuff to try:
-Get the latest realtek driver off of the Microsoft Update Catalog. I check this thread weekly. (https://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/5993-latest-realtek-hd-audio-driver-version-147.html).
-Disable fast start up in Windows 10 settings (https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disable-windows-10-fast-startup).
-Update to the latest Intel LAN drivers. I remember back in 2015 (I think) that there was a driver that was specifically causing audio issues. The driver after fixed it. Check Intel directly on the latest LAN driver for Win10.
-Completely uninstall all audio drivers/software (revouninstaller), and reinstall from the motherboard driver support page, then update the latest realtek driver separately.
-Completely uninstall nvidia drivers with DDU software, reinstall nvidia drivers. Sometimes different nvidia drivers cause issues, or a fresh install helps.
-RunLatencyMon while using your computer normally, try to replicate audio issues/cracks and see what LatencyMon reports. It can point you to specific drivers.
-Review/check all audio settings.
-Double check all hardware connections.
-Scan for any malware, virus, etc.
-Clean install of Win10, drivers, etc.

The first few I suggested should narrow it down, otherwise it may be worth reinstalling Windows 10.

If anyone else wants to build to my list, please do so. Or this topic should be continued in the other thread.
Z790 Asus Hero Maximus on 0816 BIOS (0914 and 1202 crashes for me on XMP I), Intel 13900k stock clock, Asus 4090 Strix OC edition, FF3D532G720 Teamgroup Ram running XMP I, 16gb x 2, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB x 2, Seasonic VERTEX GX 1200W, Win 11 Pro 64, Deepcool LS720 AIO, NZXT H7 Flow. Comfortably using Armoury Crate for updates/fan xpert.
