Good news i got a Reply from Asus with a Bios attached for the Rampage V edition 10 i havn't tested it yet i will do that this weekend but i want to give you guys the chance to go ahead and try it your selfs.

Should fix the overclock issue with Windows 10 KB4100347 and the windows 10 October update Build 1809

I just installed and tested this BIOS. My overclock still isn't working :/ Settings are correct in BIOS. But when I fire up Windows and launch Prime95, CPU-Z reports my frequency staying at 3.5GHz

What CPU series are you using ? Haswell 4th gen or are you using Broadwell 5th gen CPU?

I'm using Broadwell-E 6950X

Edit: I got it working. It turns out, I had installed Windows Update KB4465065, which updates Broadwell-E microcode for Windows 10 1809, to further patch Spectre vulnerabilities. Uninstalling that, enabled my overclock with the 9001 BIOS

Pfffffffffffffffff man .. FFS... so here we go again.. it works for KB4100347 and Windows October update but now it breaks again with a newer Microcode update namely KB4465065.. atleast we can still uninstall that .. but i get really really tired of going after this again with asus support took a damn 3 months to get a new bios and now where basically back where we started....

Oke i cooled down a bit grrr .. i will report this back to Asus support that KB4465065 Will break this fix again..
Seriously Microsoft Should stop this crap ASAP and let bios updates fix those vulnerability's

At least KB4465065 doesn't auto install. As it is, officially, only for the Xeon line of Broadwell CPU's, as far as Broadwell is concerned. However, listed in the update is Broadwell Server E, with CPUID 406F1. Which is, drumroll, the same CPUID as 6950X. Meaning it's the same CPU. Following which, the vulnerabilities that KB4465065 fixes, should naturally also apply to 6950X, as its CPUID is listed in the KB4465065 description.

I got a 6900K but my CPUID Revision is 000406F1h. so yea same thing here we are screwed again.. i still havn't updated to the 9001 Bios yet and i won't do it at this moment. I am waiting for a response from Asus about this as i reported this back to them.. think we have to wait a while again for yet another bios .. and if Microsoft/Intel releases yet another Microcode update.... well i think your imagination can fill in the rest
