Since I make a clean install on the 1809, i skip the driver from Samsung. I am happy. Aside that. fast-boot if off in bios aside that the the same. I read some issues that I will confirm today afternoon, on X470 since that is the build that I am going to build, well rebuild. Samsung has a close mind that they work. so having these fix is a long wait. I all ready order another brand, xpg SU8200 pro.

Has someone raised this issue to Samsung or Microsoft? Do they know about this? The only way to work around is to uninstall the Samsung driver or disable Hibernation/fast boot in Windows...

I have a Hero XI and an Samsung 970 with Samsung NVMe driver, got upgraded to 1809 yesterday, no issues, (first upgrade that haven't caused any for me actually) I don't use the fastboot thou as it makes the computer to actually boot slower in my case

Maximus IX Code; booting from Samsung 960 EVO
I had reboots, difficulty getting the PC to boot properly, Win10 login not working etc.
Impossible to know if it's related to the 18298.1000 insider preview build I'm using.
It does look like the 0602 BIOS is buggy when it comes to NVME/SATA though, very odd and inconsistent behavior.
Sometimes not even showing the Samsung drive as a boot option, or even my SATA HD.

I have the 0605 bios in my Z370-E and I have the same problem.
I don't want to update to the latest bios and lose performance because the patches for Meltdown and Spectre, but I might have to cause this is anoying and I haven't updated the bios I a year. Maybe more stability with 1601 bios.Last edited by menko2; 12-20-2018 at 07:54 AM.
