After installing the oktober update including the latest insider preview my CPU-Z multithread score was reduced significantly: from prior 10340 to ~ 8000. It's not consistent anymore though. Sometimes I get 9000 sometimes 7xxx points. So something is still messed up by microsoft sigh.

So in my experience the latest kernel did not fix CPU-Z. Whereas my Cinebench R15 scores are now restored (on 7960X that is).

Lastest Insider preview highly optimized for 0200004D microcode released since august 14 , 2018. Check your microcode on CPU section in BIOS.
if your system still use 02000043 microcode as ASUS default. CPU-z result may lower due Windows itself force your system use 02000049 instead
of 02000043 microcode.

Probably due to background activity. Personally have a few machines running this build now. Be sure to make image backups.

still using it it is fine as long you do a clean install and disconnect any drives with data on it

Thats extreme lol just don't use one drive and you will be fine i've been running it for a week.

Thanks, think those scores have been beaten now. They were on ambient water, one card was power modded. Will be rerunning on cold possibly when I get time next week
