All mix of apps and drivers is a crash. Realtek is not working
all combinacion as follow.
windows 1809/1803
original motherboard asus z390 code XI from the crate, and website crash
drivers post with drivers only on all combination on 1809/1803 crash
combination on both original and post crach

As I test the speakers, the tones left and righ the app crash.

As I test the io port with a headphone tone left and right crash

Have you tried not installing drivers manually and let Windows install the drivers and test? For me that has always at least allowed good basic sound.

- disable internet connection
-uninstall all realtek drivers and software,
- go into safe mode and run DDU utility, select realtek on right drop down menu
-hit uninstall and clean, and reboot
-install latest realtekdrivers from this site
- re enable your internet connection

I know i always had issues with Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers so i rolled back to the original windows 10 update ones

We think we got something that cause the Realtek brake on my code XI z390, 9900k

PLease @MoKiChU take notes.

Aftert 4 days, 6 clean install and out club windows certified expert here is what we find. We just finish making test.

1. Realtek drivers DO NOT WORK WITH 1809
2. Forcing NO TO INSTALL 1809, modified by registry key and by windows version. and USING ONLY original drivers for code Xi from the website. here are the numbers.
A. Windows 1803 17134.619
B. Chipset V. 10.1.176595.808
C. MEI V.12.0.2707.1 (1846.12.0.1177 )
D. NIC V 12.17.10.7_0925
E. WIFI V 12.17.10.7_0925
F. In my case I have a Samsung nvme 960Evo Driver 3.1
G. Aura 1.07.36 (WORKING PERFECT after 2 hours
H. Audio Realtek Driver 6.0.1.8507_0925 /// Realtek Audio Console 1.1.134.0 //// Sonic Studio3 Ver 3.14.2.0
I. Nvidia drivers 1080ti OC 419.35 with experience.

If the window jump to 1809 AUDIO will not work. apps crash, and no sound from rear IO ONLY, after many test the front also goes dark. We find out that the driver RTKVHD64.sys and windows 1809 is the cause of all versions, from the drivers from website, and from the drivers only post. As far I will NOT test anyone until a fix is done on the 1809.


Please inform REALTEK, A VOLTE, that crash will happens on any bios any update version even on my board. when 1809 is running.

I will these for 5 days, since the MS certified tech is with me here and told me, as He see what I am writing, stop 1809 until all test. are made.


My recommendation is do not update 1809 on any way CODE XI using drivers. why???? NO IDEA. if these is THE ONLY CASE, then these board has to be send RMA for defective module. But since is working, SO FAR, and I will report any changes. the next step if fails, I will RMA the board and get another one like a formula.

Also, in Aura, Setting, in game effects is OFF since will crash also if it is activated. and SR3 is not installed. I am tired. IS FIX and was THE ONLY COMBINATION of prgramas that these board with these conditions. and still missing 3 apps to test.

For all those who use intel components use this utility to install the latest drivers, and the rest of the installation drivers on the manufacturer's' site.

I suggest you reinstall windows without installing any software and first install all the drivers after my suggestion
Be careful not to use that software from Intel Rapid Storage,also disable this feature from bios, I also had problems using it

And the Standalone is a lighter version of it?

I do not understand your questions, everything is explained on the first post of this thread, the only difference is the SS3 integration files :

- Realtek HD Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS Nahimic) :
----Drivers : 6.0.1.8644 WHQL

- Realtek HD Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS Nahimic + Sonic Studio III integration) :
----Drivers : 6.0.1.8644 WHQL
----SS3 Extension Drivers : 1.1.7.56670 WHQL
----NH3/SS3 APO SoftwareComponent Drivers : 1.3.0.0 WHQL

Well because I don't understand now there are two versions and why when there was only single package, it matched with the current UAD - ASUS Nahimic + Sonic Studio III integration / With NahimicService.

As I really don't want to mess up with drivers, as finally I have a stable system, I am really afraid to install something that is not the same of what I have installed in the past, as I only want to "update" my drivers, without installing a new parallel version of it in any way.

Thank you for pushing my patience to a threshold of no return ...

Henceforth I will no longer answer questions whose answers are in the thread.

I have understood that now there are two versions....but was not clear which one of the two was consequent to the old unique driver package.
And that is quite important I assume, as comparing file names, the old unique driver has the same style of naming as the actual new Standalone driver.
So lucky me that I waited to know which is the new right driver to install based on mine, as if it was for the driver file name, I would have installed the Standalone new version.

So now it is clear that who first installed the drivers when there was only single package, then now they should must continue to update with the package containing SS3 integration (Realtek HD Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS Nahimic + Sonic Studio III integration).


Reasons of why you have made a Standalone version? Or this question irritates you?

In order to have a more stable system, I use and I propose the Standalone version.

that's what i use too, and got no issues.
