Core I5-8600K Stress Tests TroubleShoots

hi to everyone
i have overclocked my cpu with this settings : (see screenshoots)
so after booting system realbench benching complite also 3dmark and atc...
but when i try to stress test cpu with prime95 i have system freezing also when try to stress test with OCCT apps stoping with messasge "errors detected"
so guys can someone help to solve this problems?maybe i'm doing something wrong in overclocking steps?
MB: ASUS ROG STRIX Z370E - GAMING
CPU: INTEL CORE I5 - 8600K
CPU COOLER: Thermaltake Floe Riing RGB 240 TT Premium Edition
GPU: ASUS STRIX GEFORCE GTX 970 OC

Hi AnonGhost

You probably just need a little more Vcore for Prime95 and OCCT, if you're stable with Realbench I'd call it good.

Uninstall Prime95 and OCCT, Realbench is all you need. 🙂

That looks good and max temp of 70c is great.

There's no need to stress your cpu any harder than it needs to be, adding more voltage to pass P95 and OCCT will raise temps.

While Realbench puts 100% load on the cpu, it's not as harsh as those other tests and is why I prefer and recommend it. If you can pass Realbench, you're pretty much ready for anything. As you say, you can pass your benchmarks and all your games should be stable too.

usually i used system for photoshop,lightroom.premiere pro,after effects and gaming
so in programs and games system works perfect without any freezing and lags but sometimes i have freezies in Need For Speed Payback i don't know why
maybe i have not so good ram

Freezing alot of times is ram related, you could try bumping the Dram voltage up to 1.25v - 1.30v - 1.35v and see if this stops the freezing.

If that doesn't help, the next thing I'd look at is your GT-640. How is performance, does it seem to be struggling at all ?

oh man i don't have GT-640 😉 I have Overclocked STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5 With new thermal compound so in games max gpu temp is 70

Oh ok nice, you need to change your specs. 🙂

Set the Dram voltage to 1.25v and try need for speed, if it still freezes set Dram voltage 1.30v and play it again. And then 1.35v as the last try.

Let's cross our fingers that a bump in Dram voltage is all it needs.

Yes 1.35v is safe, Intel recommends a maximum Dram voltage of 1.50v for DDR4 and is where I have mine set. I have 16GB 2400MHz overclocked to 3000MHz and I run it there daily with no fan.
