    Question ASUS ROG G20AJ - GPU Upgrade Questions.

    Hi,

    I plan on upgrading my 1050ti to a 980 (I got it for a steal of a price) but the card is 2.5slots wide.

    From research I haven't been able to find anything to point to the card being able to physically fit.

    For reference I plan on trying to install a "GeForce® GTX 980 Super JetStream(4096MB GDDR5)"

    Does anyone know if a 2.5slot card will fit in the G20AJ's case?

    only Reference Spec cards will fit in the G20AJ like the GTX1080 i have is the Founders Edition from Nvidia. mind you i'm using a Dell 330W PSU for the GPU replacing the 230W. anything beyond reference spec will not fit in the G20AJ

    Reference Spec: 2-slot, 266.7mm (10.5") x 111.1504mm (4.376")*

    The GTX 1080 FE i have barely has any room with it's 2" width in the bracket that the card is mounted on.*

    Your Card has the added 0.5" because of the fan mount and that seems like it's not going to fit (you can try but you might damage the fan covers ( and the fans)

    Reference style, IE: Blower fan cards, are the only ones that will work with the case. That 980 card you purchased will not fit inside the case.
