They aren't going to talk to us via this forum man. Email them instead. I asked many times over at overclock.net but we get no answers as well.

Yeah they don't get any praise for this upset but don't go to mediafire to download as was recommended on overclockers.... https://www.mediafire.com/folder/jkoxu4r003qu7/Release or your screen will lock up with a microsoft tech scam

Could well be nothing was wrong with 1001. There may have been a delay for servers to update showing 1002.

Few days ago a poster on OCN highlighted they could see UEFI 1002 by using drop down box set as Other, today when I tried it is showing even in other OS sections.

    what to try first?

Which Bios am I better off trying? The two I am yet to try are: BIOS 0012 (downloaded quite late last night and I cannot remember where from. dodgey?) or BIOS 1002 (Downloaded from the link above.) I have the wifi version of the board.

    Thanks

The link to a mediafire folder I have in OP of C7H Essential Thread is shared by Elmor (Jon Sandstrom), up until few days ago worked in ASUS ROG R&D dept.

I had no issues on UEFI 0012, this was a beta with fixed ASUS WMI, which is not correctly implemented in UEFI 0804. 0012 sets in between 0804 and 1001 in "release cycle", so 1001 may have fixes which it does not. I would try 1002 TBH, as that has replaced 1001 and so more than likely has further fixes.

I have owned C6H/C7H/ZE since launch, Elmor provided so many betas for "us" to test, many of these became "official". You could compare the files byte for byte, between what he shared and later when they released on ASUS support site, they were the same.

As far as I am concerned even "official" releases are like betas. They are bug free until one is discovered. As much as I or we would hope ASUS would be able to test UEFI releases for all HW and FW combos which exist in "the wild", it would be impossible for them. So always expect bugs IMO. User A could experience none, due to HW/settings used, for user B a UEFI could be pants. So I would try each UEFI and see how it is for you. We can only hope as we try them and give feedback the next release will improve.
