    Sure thing...

Processor: Intel i7 9700K (Originally preordered the i9 9900K but since availability is none existent, and after reading reviews about how power hungry/hot it can be, I decided to go with the 9700K since I won’t be doing a custom water loop and primarily gaming.)

Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus XI Code

Video Card: EVGA RTX 2080Ti XC Ultra

    SSD: Samsung 970 Evo M.2 1TB

    Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 3200 CL14 (2x8GB)

    PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 80+ Platinum

    CPU Cooler: EVGA CLC 280

Case: Fractal Design Define R6 USB-C Blackout

    Monitor: Alienware AW3418DW 34’ Ultrawide (3440x1440)

Whoa, what a gaming pc you have !

I bet the 9700k overclocks better than the 9900k because the 9700k doesn't have hyperthreading, this makes a big difference in temps.

I was going to suggest Trident Z ram but that Ripjaws V 16GB 3200MHz kit at cl14 is as fast as it gets.

Nice specs, looks super awesome !

Thank you! I went back and forth between the Trident Z's and Ripjaws V, but ended up going with the CL14 version of the Ripjaws since they are just as fast as the Trident's, were about $40 cheaper, and I honestly didn't care for the RBG on the Tridents very much.

That was my thoughts on the 9700K as well. I do plan to overclock it and from early reviews it just seems like the 9700K will be better in that department compared to the 9900K. And by the time games utilize more than 8 cores where the hyperthreading on the 9900K becomes important I would probably be looking to upgrade again anyway.

Currently I have everything built and installed except for the 9700K. That was actually just delivered this morning so I'll be able to finish the build tonight. Can't wait to give it a go!

To give you an idea, when I turn off hyperthreading temps drop 10c-15c.

Intel used solder this time around so no need to delid. For the best possible temps the best thermal compound is thermal grizzly kryonaut and is what I use.

    https://www.amazon.com/Thermal-Grizz.../dp/B011F7W3LU

I delidded my 7700k, I used thermal grizzly conductonaut between the die and the IHS and kryonaut between the IHS and cpu water block. Here are gaming temps with Vcore at 1.440v - 1.456v with hyperthreading on.

Wow! That is an insane temp drop just from disabling hyperthreading. Actually, another quick question. On the EVGA CLC 280 there is stock thermal paste and I was debating on removing it and applying Arctic Silver 5 since I have a brand new tube laying around. Do you think that will make much a difference or would the stock thermal paste work just as well as Arctic Silver?

Yeah remove the stock paste off the water block, clean it with rubbing alcohol and tissue or toilet paper, not paper towels.

Arctic silver 5 is ok to use, it'll be way better than the stock compound.

I definitely will! I like your custom water loop. I'm new to that side of custom builds and have never seen a unit like the one you have next to your tower. It's something I have thought about doing down the road but the complexities of it all kinda deters me from pulling the trigger. What would be a good starting point/kit for a beginner?
