What's the go with warranty with water cooling?

I know some company's allow you to take the stock cooler off video cards but others don't and some are changing to allow it but whats the go with ASUS? Can't find any info newer than 2 or so years ago.

I find ASUS cards are good but they always have a rattling fan............

I can't afford a 2nd card and I need a video card in my PC so I end up having to just let it rattle for years and drown out the noise with game or youtube video audio lol. I've never bought a Strix card that didn't rattle. It's stupid ROG Strix is meant to be the better cards but every one has had faulty fans.

So yeah i'd like to get away from the Strix fail fans and get one of those self contained water cooling things for it but i'd like to not lose warranty. I'd RMA the video card but I can't be without my PC for weeks -_-

As of May 8th, your warranty will not be void if you break the warranty seal. For more information:

But this isn't just breaking the warranty seal. It's also disassembling part of the card.

If warranty service is required you would have to restore the card to the state in which you received it. If there is customer induced damage your claim would be denied regardless. As long as you are careful not to strip any screws or damage anything ASUS won't know the difference or have grounds to deny you.

That's great if ASUS allow to people install GPU waterblock.
You can't cooldown high end system properly today without liquid and ASUS still no AIO GPU solutions.

There is more to the story for USA warranty. Write/speak to your elected officials.

So, you did not use ASUS thermal paste.

There are only a few ASUS people here so they don't answer all posts. This is mostly a user-to-user forum.

Since your profile says you are in the United States you would be protected by recent legal changes. Unfortunately the user above is from Hungary where the laws are different. They may not have the same consumer protections we now have here.
