Unable to undervolt G703GI with i7-8750H

I have tried both XTU and ThrottleStop, but to no avail.
In XTU the voltage options are grayed out and in ThrottleStop, hitting "Apply" / "Save" after turning it on, will not change the offsets. I have seen plenty of people undervolting this CPU and the G703 with i9. Would anyone have any clue what's going on here?

Hi,

Im having the exact same problem, now you know you are not alone.

ROG Gaming Center must be uninstalled before using XTU or Throttlestop.

These laptops are already pushing thermal thresholds with the extreme settings on the GPU side (raising GPU frequency induces throttling and normally has a negative effect over the stock extreme settings). Any difference I would think would be negligible and Im not sure it would be worth losing ROG Gaming Center to achieve them (ROG GC is not involved on other ROG laptops as much as this one). Please let us know though if you do see any improvements in performance doing away with ROG GC.
(ROG has simply become too expensive compared to the competition with same specs... 😞 )
