I have a Maximus XI Hero WiFi here and after the update to the newest Bios 0602 it doesnt start anymore. The Power is On for about half a second then the computer shuts down again. I had to revert to the original bios via recovery cd and crashfree bios. The same happens with the 0506 BIOS. It does not matter if i update via asus software or from the bios. Iam just wondering if no one else has this problem.

I have a second set which has the same problem so it is not this one Board. But both use
Gskill Trident z F4-4000c19 for Memory and a Enermax Maxtytan 800w for Power. Both sets use different cpus and different Gpus.

Welcome to the Land of Maximus or Medimus ;-) a lot of People have this Problem most with the Hero XI .. search after it in this Forum you maybe found 2 - 4 Threats with this Topics or a kind of.

I have this to time by time, but this problem is about my Overpowerd Gskill cl18 4400 Dual Kit and Fantasy Volts and Sub Timings that the Hero XI creats to my Kit.

Try XMP1 3900mhz , DRAM Voltage 1.35 , VCCIO and SYSTEM AGENT 1.2 for a test. For me at this time this is the Only Setting that my 4400 Kit is relativ Stable with the Kahru Memtest. Maybe you must try i bit but for you the chance is good to be running it with the Default Profil with a little bit Tweaking in the Bios.
But for me all is Bull**** and i lose 500 Mhz of my RAM kit.

Thanks, i will try that. I just never had the situation before, that the Default Settings would not create stable values for RAM. Well, you never stop learning ^^.

did you try setting on xmp2. as it sets the timing as gskill and not altered by the motherboard? if didn't work and it could be that the processor memory controller can't handle that memory *speed..

My XI Gene runs perfect on 0602, not going to update anything unless necessary. I do update bios versions regularly on my dual bios boards as it is easy to switch between bios's but I don't always update a single bios board

I can also say the 0702 and 0802 are broke on my Z390-E.

Code Xi is running fine on 0602 with 9900k. in fact too fine. 5.1 1.29 24/7 kraken x74 max temp 80C 1 core after 4 hours and with 3600mhz mxp2 With stock, defauld values with xmp2 is 2070 cine bench. I ok, beside crate and easy update there is no update. I will wait until i finish some work here and get a new NVME and make a clean installa with new 0703. i like asus. I live eat and sleep with asus. BUT on description of what is what NEED a lot of work. I trust my 0602 for the moment. until i got more info if what is 0702 and on 7 days another bios

agree also here. I will wait a couple of week and we how that new 0703 does. I need more data

On my Hero XI I am running stable with 0702. However I have noticed DXE routine at boot up (Code 64) is taking much longer. DXE can be halted or lagged due to memory issues. I suspect something off in the new BIOS. I may be flashing back to 0602.

Update: Setting Maximus Tweak 1 cut down on the DXE time. Back down to 10 seconds or so now. On 0602 that was just left on Auto.
