    Hey Baio,

Could you please link me to his goodbye post? I would like to read it. Thanks Heaps . It is really sad to hear that he is leaving Asus though . He was like the 'last jedi' and 'our only hope' (of another bios revision) . Haha

Unfounded speculation helps no one, but fans the flames of paranoia.

As much as Elmor has supported us I doubt all support rested on his shoulders. In the OCN thread for ASUS ZE a few thought he was the only one working to address issues and he did highlight there is a team of people.

I do hope someone takes up the place of Elmor providing support/point of contact here and on OCN, etc. At times, it really seemed from owners posts, they did not value the direct contact they were getting.

Time after time I have read jibes like "Assus" and wonder is this constructive!?

So perhaps a void will be good to show us the value of such a person as Elmor.

I agree with you on that one!! Who would want to help someone who just keeps putting crap on them and their team? I am thankful that we got updates. I also have a job helping people who have a sense of entitlement a lot of the time. It can be easy to get frustrated when all people do is complain when you are bending over backwards to help them. So I do understand their position.

Sense of entitlement is sadly rife.

I've had C6H since launch day. Originally the AGESA was locking out any RAM timings manipulation other than the common primary timings. The highest RAM divider available was 3200MHz. If you wanted higher RAM MHz you needed a board with BCLK tweaking.

IIRC it was at least ~3mths till we had vast improvement on that side and it was not ASUS/other mobo vendors dragging their heels, but AMD AGESA development. Pretty much when this post on AMD Community site was done is when we got all that.

I believe Ryzen gen 1 was launched too early, by the time ZE was released all was ripe and the experience on it was far better at launch than C6H. Just prior to C7H launch we started seeing more RAM dividers, side effect of AGESA supporting gen 2 CPUs.

IMO what C7H had at launch was vastly developed AGESA/UEFI. I do not think we will see big jumps in gains of settings/performance vs other UEFIs for it. We're probably only gonna see very mild improvements/patches to issues that we may or may not know of.

On the ZE I am on a beta which is 2 releases behind than "official" releases, why? because I have no issues with the UEFI I'm using. I can't see a newer UEFI vastly improving the CPU/RAM MHz, etc I get. So I do believe at x point a user may not wish to actually keep riding the UEFI update merry go round...

I too hope to one day be able to 'lock down' a UEFI. Cannot say I am a fan of flashing over and over and over LOL!
