My Ryujin works fine. First I uninstalled all Asus software, LiveDash and AI Suite II, that is. Then I reinstalled Windows (which these days is super fast)--a reinstall the only way to safely remove every trace of the Asus junk. I then downloaded the firmware from the Asus page. After that, I set all of my case fans up in the Bios, doing nothing re: the Ryujin. Albeit the display shows only the ROG logo, flashing and fading, it is not so bad. The temperature readout on the Ryujin only shows the CPU temperature as from a probe behind the CPU, not the CPU at all anyway--so is misleading anyhow. I run HWMonitor at all times, and it shows fantastic temperatures on all of my CPU cores--in fact they have never been better.
Good Luck. Hopefully this helps.

Here is the steps I took to get back from Armory Crate (not working on my Crosshair VIII Impact with Ryujin 240), to a functional LiveDash setup.
Especially without reinstalling Windows. Even if I agree the install is pretty fast when doing a repair install out of a running Windows, it still seems odd of a suggestion in first place when Asus indeed should know exactly what they install and thus have to revert by some scripts. Overall I just wish Asus' software division would close the huge leap vs. the excellent hardware build division...
Anyway here it goes (some steps are courtesy of other users on the web, thank you guys!):
1. w/ Add/Remove software, uninstall all Asus SW: Mainboard stuff, Armoury Crate (Lite), AURA related, ASUS Framework, AISuite, ROG Live Update, etc.
2. Run Aura Legacy Cleaner
3. Run Armoury Crate Uninstall Tool
4. Stop all ASUS Services : ASUS Com Service, LightingService, ROG Live & any other related
5. As admin, delete following folders (if still exist): C:\Program Files\ASUS; C:\Program Files\ENE; C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS; C:\ProgramData\ASUS; C:\Program Files (x86)\LightingService
6. Reboot & run CCleaner registry cleaner
7. Go to "C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\", search for *aac* and delete all packages that have this in the name
8. From "Lighting Service" package, extract all exe installers from folder "LightingService\aac"
9. Run each of these:
a) if presented "Install", do Install and then Uninstall again
b) if presented "Uninstall", just do that
10. Ensure that Armory Crate install is disabled in BIOS "Tools"
11. Install LiveDash 1.05.06 (which comes with some older but compatible Aura Service)
Done.
