USB drivers for RAMPAGE VI (X299) with Windows 7

I just moved my Windows 7 RAMPAGE IV desktop to a new RAMPAGE VI (X299) desktop.
I've got everything handled in Device manager except the USB ports.
I tried the W7 USB drivers on asus.com.

I can't find Intel X299 USB 3.0/3.1 drivers on intel.com

Has anyone else got this operational?
I hate to move to W10 just for USB ports 🙂

Windows 7 is no less magnificent than ever on Z370 or X299... works flawlessly on my systems. I got the ASMedia USB drivers directly from ASUS. I will post a couple of links for you. I have the Intel USB 3.0 drivers on my Google Drive.

ASMedia USB Drivers:

Intel USB 3.0 and ASMedia WinRAID driver mods: (from my Google Drive)

If you use the ASUS EZInstall tool to make your Windows 7 USB installer compatible with USB 3.0 and NVMe it will have the Intel drivers integrated already. No need to find and download them for your next clean install.

Hi,
Thank you for the reply, my understanding is some of the USB ports are handled by the Intel X299 chipset and some are handled by the ASMedia chipset. Given this, a W7 X299 USB Driver is needed and a W7 ASMedia USB Driver is needed or some of the USB ports won't function.
I've tested the on board ports and rear ports, this appears to be the case.

Anyone have all the USB ports working on Windows 7?

Attached are the Intel USB 3.0 drivers from the ASUS EZ Installer tool. If you have the original driver and application DVD for your motherboard, you will find them there as well. Install them manually from Device Manager using the "Have disk" method.

Mr. Fox,

YOU ARE THE MAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I downloaded the drivers provided by you second URL, installed them and all Intel X299 USBs 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0 plus ASMedia USB 3.1 & 3.0 came online.
Works better than the drivers provided in the W7 USB area for the motherboard

I owe you a coffee or beer (assuming you are legal drinking age), your choice.

I am so happy to to have a Monster server on W7 .vs W10 (no disrespect to the W10 fans, just not for me 🙂

Yes, I have all USB ports working under Windows 7 on my Rampage VI Apex and so do many others. I used the ASUS EZ Installer tool on my Windows 7 USB installation media to add the Intel USB 3.0 drivers and NVMe support for a clean OS installation. Then I installed the ASMedia USB 3.0 drivers provided by ASUS for the third party USB 3.0 controller. If you are using a previous Windows installation from another motherboad/chipset you can try the link from my Google drive for the Intel USB 3.0 drivers.
