Overclock 8086 on Maximus X

Hi everyone. I recently brought my new pc. It is housing an Intel 8086 on Maximus X. My cooling is air cooled Noctua d15. I'd like some help with overclocking the CPU. Is there any guide I can use?

There are plenty of guides. 8700k OC guidelines apply to the 8086k as it is just a binned 8700k. I have a Code X with an 8086k and NHD15 @ 5.1 GHz myself. If not here, there are threads on overclok.net. Google is your friend.

Yes, delided. Prime 95 what? Blend, small fft?

Without delidding I could hit 5.1 GHz, but used custom 1344/1344 Prime95 for stability testing to work around temps.
I had no issue with blend or anything 5.0 undelided.

Thanks, I followed this guy on youtube. What's your take on the setting he used?

Using someone elses setting does not mean those settings will work on your system. Each system is unique. I liked that he stressed that too.

The basic principles of OC are common across all platforms. The best advice I can give anyone is this ~ Let temps be your guide.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.
