I consider the Apex to be the better board especially with it's 2 Dimm modules holding 4 NVME drives negating the need for slower Sata drives.

Lightbulb Cascade Lake and Cooper Lake X on X399 PCH

Maybe the way of Intel X399 PCH shining on H2 2019 lastest slide from GB told us here.

It was very sad of those who bought 9th HEDT or Skylake Refresh. It was the first shortest life span HEDT platform from Intel ever made.

Glacier PCH aka x399 may also shortly life span too, It was support Cascade Lake X and also Cooper Lake X only

Keys of Cascade Lake X was not anything shining as Cascade Lake SP Variant *on Optane DC persistence memory support.
It’s only Hardware Fixed by Silicon work on these vulnerables

AI and Deep Learning AVX512 VNNI was not keys on General performance tasks anymore **

Cascade Lake was not fully Hardware Fixed , It also requires microcode patch, too

CPU ID 50655 for Cascade Lake X and possibilities 50656 for Cooper Lake X *

Cooper Lake extension instruction was BFLOAT16 also AI and Deep Learning task benefits.*
