G752VS here, repasted myself, Kryonaut on die, and MX-4 for all else.

Max if I recall for.. (Running ARK, with no FPS limiter, full 100% benching with no throttle I believe.)

CPU is 65-70

GPU is 70-75

You have double the exhaust though, so unless you're applying too much paste, not torquing the screws enough or fiddled with your fan profiles, you shouldn't be getting into the 90's. Your absolute max should be 85..

80+ is pushing it, and Kryonaut doesn't like hitting 80*C or above.. so yeah, 90 is problematic.

It could be because the 1080 runs hotter than the 1070.. (I always considered the 1070 as the sweet spot, personally.)

You're not sitting the laptop on carpet or on your bed are you? :f

Hi Darnassus, my 1080 temp is fine it sits at around 70-75. its my processor that hits 90s. My cpu is a core I9 8950hk factory overclocked to 4.8GHZ

I'm not seeing anything close to 90 running extreme with Destiny 2 at all max settings and 144 on sync. I have not repasted anything. Same CPU and speed.

Which game is probably going to come into play. I dont see those temps but you also have an i9 which I have heard can run hot (also can read about it in the new Mac Book Pros with throttling occuring due to the Macbooks dimensions). My guess is you are running a game that takes advantage of the extra cores (Im not sure Destiny2 is going to do that per another poster). TJunction on the i9-8950HK is still 100c. So even though its up there, you're still within range of the proc and it will throttle if it hits that threshold. So unless you experience throttling, I would say game on as its close, but within limits.
(ROG has simply become too expensive compared to the competition with same specs... 😞 )
