Why are you acting like the Maximus 11 is the first motherboard to ever need a multi power cycle at the first powered boot up? Google it. Various boards (and brands) over the last 10 years have done this. Out of the last 8 motherboards I've used in the last decade, at least 3 have had this cold boot up routine.... more common with the HEDT boards.

hi all
anyone knows if is there a way to switch to off Memok on an Asus Z270-WS ?
i've searchend on the bios but is there no options
my 2 new MB make fake boot 4 times (2 if there are no memory connected so isn't any compatibilty problem related to my DIMM ) and that is a part very frustrating ,,,a damage that will shortener the life of all the connected pheriperals
i've contacted support center many times and tried to change in RMA 1 of the 2 boards but the story is always the same
at the end the support contacted their "main center" "solving the question with a : it is a normal behavior if you totally disconnet"
for security reason i need to discontet totally from the power my 2 workstation and each day ... they boot 4 times ...... my 900USD SSD and 500USD vcard will have really a shorter life
my only solution is to throw away this 2 450USD ASUS MB buy other from other producers .. and "save" all the hardware connected
it is really an unacceptable behavior from the support center and the producer. i'm owning from 25 years asus MB but i will need to change as unique solution ...
unbeleivable that they cannot effort a bios update to let improve this behavior and just let THE THINGS GO like this
ok you loose 1 customer? .. not only 1 .. i am a software developer , with many clients and technician as colleague ......... I WILL NOT SUGGEST to buy ASUS anymore...
thank you

Ok Seems like enabling MRC Fast boot and Fast boot after AC power loss fixed it for me. Thank god!
Thanks

there is no 0903 for Z70WS
Moheban can you give more details ?
i tried any kind of combination
"MRC Fast boot and Fast boot after AC power loss "
i have also to say that this "4 times reboot" it is random, sometimes 3 other times 4 , specially if your pc is turned off for more long time (with no cable connected to the PSU)
is this your case ?
i don't remember hot to set this option
"Fast boot after AC power loss " , is it possible?Last edited by lizthe; 03-30-2019 at 06:11 PM.
