How much off a difference did changing out the TIM make? Do you have before/after temperatures?

I'm curious to see what your temps are.

Currently running a 1080TI, as a new 2080 costs over 2x the cost of a used 1080TI.

Temps are dynamic, it depends on the temp target limit, and the core Freq will automatically adjust the speed, temp limit by default was 83 degree Celcius.
Before I change the TIM, the core constantly goes up to 1700mhz, but after the gpu temp reach 85, the core will throttling down to 1515mhz.
After I replace the tim with CM Mastergel Maker, now the core keep running above 1700-1800mhz without throttling.

G20CB and G20Ci can ran GTX 1080 Ti by switching the mobo jumper, G20Aj cannot, but GTX1070ti will work fine for G20Aj.

No, it wont be stable, unless you put the power target to 90%.

Ok guys maybe it’s a dumb question but I need to know before I purchase.. *really want a rtx 2080 but but I have the rog g20aj with the i5 processor, to combat power draw I did upgrade to the 330w + 180w psu can my setup handle *this? I am planning on upgrading the processor at a later date but this is what I’m working with right now *

why can’t the Aj handle it?? There’s a motherboard switch to activate the second graphics card power supply? I’m really curious here thinking about purchasing*

hi, i have the founders evga 1080 in my g20cb at the minute, im 99% cewrtain it only has the 1 power plug to the card, how did you get the second power to the card ??

ahhh yes remember changing the 6 pin for 8 now for the 1080, guess you just use both for the 2080 card
