Z390-H - i5-9600k throttling under load
Hi all,
I have a i5-9600k installed in a Z390-H mobo. I have it set to sync all cores at 48, and a manual vcore voltage that seems to be stable. After the CPU has been under load for a few minutes, according to CPUID it throttles down to as low as 45 some times. It's not a thermal throttle for sure as my CPU temp is around 55c, and AIDA64 is not indicating a thermal throttle. My old Ivy Bridge never throttled under load even when using an offset vcore. I must be missing some setting in the UEFI. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

Check your avx offset in the bios. If you are running an fpu stress test in aida64 that will happen depending on what the offset is. Check that first since that what it was in my case.

You nailed it. My avx offset was set to auto. I set it to zero. Problem solved. Thanks!
