I did exactly what the they explained at the first post (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ro7k...ture=emb_title) and it worked perfectly. It is quiet and cooler. Great!
Here it is the stress test results with and without the repaste and undervolt:

The fan is working and moving fine. As I mentioned, the noise started about 3 weeks after I bought the laptop. It's not a dust issue.
It's like a mechanical rattling noise. If I take the laptop apart and I spin the fan with my finger, it's okay, it spin fine and it doesn't make any noise.
But thanks for the video, I might try opening it and putting oil on the fan if I can take it apart.

Hey, thanks for replying. However, as I explained above, my issue is not related to thermals, performance or fan running too fast/loud in that sense.
My particular laptop performs very well and very cool, I have undervolted both CPU and GPU and have 32GB RAM HyperX 2660Mhz XMP. I even got the second highest Geekbench 5 multicore score of every GL504GM laptop and it's extremely stable and doesn't have any blue screen or anything.
The problem is a rattling noise in the left fan even at idle or normal loud. When gaming and the fan goes quicker the rattling noise kinda dissappiar. If I change the the position of the laptop changing the angle it's sitting, the rattling noise changes.
The fan is clean.Last edited by Celmad; 04-05-2020 at 06:04 PM.

I have exactly the same problem, left fan, everything.
I just didn't open up the case to check it
It seems a common issue even with other flagship ASUS laptops after the first weeks of usage.
It is probably due poor quality fan or a bad assembled one.
I guess the only solution is to RMA the model if you're in warranty.

Ive already undervolted my CPU to -0.85, disabled BD procshot, changed speedshift EPP to 0 using throttlestop and repasted the CPU and GPU with arctic MX-4 and my temps was good when playing Games.
Ive also stressed test the CPU and GPU and the temps was stable below 85C
The problem Im having is when my GPU utilization is reached from 99% to 100% . The framerate will drop significantly (PUBG Game)Last edited by silvergem; 06-25-2020 at 03:17 PM.
