    Use k5-pro instead of thermal pads. By using high performance thermal pads you're dumping even more unnecessary heat into an already saturated cooling solution. VRM's can safely work a LOT hotter (usually up to 120C) than cpus and gpus, so don't bother trying to cool them down even more. Not gonna get any performance gains by doing so.

    mine is still holding up since then. i am even doing VR games on it

    should i switch my pads with k5-pro?

    If it's good enough for you the way it is right now, don't bother.
