Asus Z370 e gaming dual channel issue
Hi !
I'm new here, I hope I'm in the right channel to ask it
I recently finished to build my PC :
- Intel i7 8700k
- Asus ROG Strix Z370-e gaming
- NZXT kraken x52
- G.Skill Trident Z RGB F4-3000C15D-16GTZR
- Nvidia RTX 2080 FE
- Corsair rm850x white
- Samsung 960 EVO 500Gb
- In Win 303 MSI dragon edition
- 4x Corsair LL120
But here is the deal. My computer works in dual channel mode when I'm browsing or watching a movie but as soon as I start a game, around 3 minutes after I started playing the computer is freezing or making a random blue screen. But when I try to play a game in single channel mode it works (in A2 or B2). I put my ram in A2 B2 channels as it's written in the manual, I already tried to put those in A1 B1 it still doesn't work. It tested my ram with the windows utility but it seems that my ram is ok. I tried with the XMP profile and without, it has no effects. I tried to reinstall windows few times but it's still not working. I'm thinking about a dual channel managment issue in the motherboard. Do you have any idea ?

Hello,
1) Clear the UEFI
2) Insert modules into A2 and B2
3) Re-test the system at complete optimised defaults (no XMP)
If unresolved
1) Remove the CPU cooler and CPU whilst checking the socket for any bent pins
2) Reinstall the CPU and CPU cooler whilst keeping sure mounting pressure is even
3) Make sure motherboard screws surrounding the CPU socket and DIMM slots are not overtightened
4) Retest the system
