Both are Windows 10 Version 1809 but different OS kernel inside.
18XXX was better optimized OS utilized both AVX512/FMA Units than 17763.134.
    Ok thanks

And so with Windows 10 1809 we find "normal" temperatures ?
The same as with the microcode 43 ?
Or is there still this rise in temperatures ?
    Sorry for my english

Lightbulb Microcode machanism on Windows Update

    Lastest Microsoft vulnerable patch *https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...rocode-updates
You’ll notice that Microsoft Update KB4465065 was recommended 0200004D microcode instead of 02000049 in the past as
we’d discuss before*on BIOS 1503 is out quotes.

    *
Thus the Windows OS Kernel which after installation KB4465065 update *will force every system that used microcode*
revision below 0200004D to use 0200004D instead of microcode loaded from system BIOS.

    For example*

    A) R6E with 0200002B/2C/3A/40/43 microcode Bios when enter Windows (KB446065 installed).
all are force to use 0200004D by default.

    B) R6E 1603 BIOS with 0200004D microcode when enter Windows (KB446065 installed).
    is using 0200004D by default

    C) R6E 1503 Modded BIOS with 02000050/55 microcode when enter Windows (KB446065 installed)
are using 02000050 or 02000055 microcode by default.

The temperature that you claim me equals 02000043 with lastest 1603 BIOS with 0200004D microcode
on Windows 10 1809 KB446065 installed are not strange at all. The system which 02000043 was forcing
to use 0200004D all Windows sessions. When you’d testing it the results almost same as system which
    0200004D microcode.
    **
These because it is normally behavior of microcode follows A) and B) cases above.*

    Ok thanks for the explanation,
So to find normal temperatures (as with microcode 43 or 49), it is necessary to update the microcode under Windows (with KB KB4465065) ?

If you use BIOS 1603 now. It no need install those update anymore Master tistou77.*
By microcode machanism higher revision of microcode will replace the older on running.*

Ok, back to bios 1503, with the 1603 the temperatures of the cores are increased

There must be a problem with the firmware 4D, 50 and 55 updated by the bios
By the bios, with the microcode 4D (bios 1603) I have the problem of temperature
If updated by Windows Update (microcode 4D) no temperature problem

    So,
Bios 1603 (4D) and not WU (49): NOK
    Bios 1603 (4D) and WU (4D): NOK
    Bios 1503 (43) and WU (4D): OK

Great work tistou77, I was going to test that tonight after work. Why is the TJ max 110C in 1603 anyway, the 7940x has the highest TJ max on
skylake-x and that is only 102C

    TJmax of Skylake-X is 105°
Maybe 102° for your 7940X but it's very rare
