Some background...this is my first PC build so it's all a bit new to me. Everything has been running smoothly, however I am running into a RAM issue that I cannot for the life of me figure out and am thinking it may be a motherboard issue? To start, I had to flash the BIOS so I know that that is up to date. Per the manual, slots A2 and B2 are to be used for the ram. Originally I was using the Corsair RAM in the parts list. I was able to boot windows from either stick in the A2 slot, however when I have RAM in both slots both the BIOS and Windows would only recognize 8GB total and the other shows up as unusable on Windows. I am also unable to run the RAM any higher than 2133 MHz.



After doing more research, I saw that that Corsair RAM I was using comes in 2 versions and only one was on the QVL for my motherboard. The RAM i was using was not the one on the list so I thought that may be the issue. New RAM arrived today and I made sure it was one on the QVL list but it didn't make a difference, still only recognizing 1 stick and running at 2133 MHz. Any ideas? Appreciate any help. I can show some images if that would help anyone. My build is below.

edit - To clarify. BIOS shows both sticks of RAM in their respective slots (HWInfo shows the same) however BIOS shows 8GB not the full 16.
