    Philly,
Any difference on the XI E board compared to the X board you first used with the 9900K? Voltage or OC, etc.

Menthol....the Extreme XI is a nice board...though it does have some disappointments vs the X Code I had....the leds are not as bright....the IO shield is not as durable/solid...board has no backplate like the Formula..I would have expected that...since it is the premium board and on par $$$ wise with the V10 I once had complete with backplate....on the plus side...more fan headers....vrms are a little cooler...board overclocks the same....requires less voltage to get the same 5.2GHZ...has a 0.050 Vdroop up to LLC 7 (haven't tried LLC 8 yet)...whereas the X Code with LLC 7 was more intuned to what was manually set in bios...temps are about the same @ 5.2 GHZ...even though there was a difference in VCore....Personally...I think the board has a lot to offer...it only has had 1 bios update since launch and I think the 9900k is limited atm as to how it can really perform without further bios updates.....the board has no issue running 4400mhz memory...as I have OC'd the GSkill Trident Z RGB 3866mhz to 4400mhz with 1 error 500% HCI Memtest and none through Aida 64....more tweaking needed...lol....right now @ 4266mhz..17-18-18-39 2T.

    Philly,
Thanks, wasn't interested in difference in new board except how CPU reacted on X to XI, I have no new hardware and am thinking in swapping my CPU's 8700K, 9900K, on my boards, XI Gene and X Apex to compare and just to have something to do more than anything else
