Do you need a CPU/RAM for BIOS Flashback on CH6?

If I have a CH6 and a Ryzen 2000 series, do I need to pop in the CPU/RAM for a BIOS Flashback or it will update without CPU/RAM? Obviously the USB with the update file is plugged in and motherboard power cable.

Mobo just needs power and USB stick with file in correct port.
