Yeah I noticed after that clocks where only hitting 4Ghz not 4.3Ghz not sure why yet, will do some overclocking when I get off work.

Any particular reason for the circular machining and not making contact with the entire Die? That’s the that’s been killing me. I have 3 EK monoblocks on my wall of shame, I’m a slow learner. First one for M8E was worst of all. Didn’t make it past box bench and vendor wouldn’t take it back. Second one on R6E acrylic that left hot cores and hard to get to sit right and blamed it on delid. 3rd the acetal solid that won’t seat well on non delid.*

Nickel plating dissolving on year old strix blocks. Disassembled, cleaned and polished but not even rubbing compound will turn it back to a shiny surface which tells me the plating process wasn’t done correctly. You guys probably send it out for plating.
Now what’s with the delay with Strix 2080ti 011G blocks? Every manufacturer except EK and Watercool have blocks out for this. I don’t count aqua computer as they never have done anything but reference cards.**

So as of this build the only thing left are the rads. All Watercool, Bitspower and Phanteks. Pulled pumps that always had a loud whine, reservoirs that won’t come clean, *not stained, turning opaque in 10 months. Don’t understand what happened with EK. Old school blocks I have on the shelves with nice bottoms, good acrylic, perfect mounts still look like new several years later while things a year old and one brand new monoblock that has never had water run though it doesn’t seat correctly.*

I’d be interested to see what you get with 1.225Vcore. That will separate the good from the weak.*

You would have screens with 2 IHS (to get an idea) ?

yeah that makes two of us. Eventually I’ll be putting my delidded 7900X back into service although it won’t be with a monoblock or an ASUS board. Actually looking to go MiniATX with it, Asrock is the only company that makes one afaik.*

Sadly no because I was using a 7900x before hand and I couldn't be bothered setting up my loop to just test the 7940x before delidding or with the stock IHS after delidding, ill be trying for a 4.6-4.7ghz OC tonight, will post up temps for higher voltages.

Ok, do not worry
If with the IHS of Rockit there is a gain, I hesitate to use it instead of retrying the direct die (Already tried several times but bad contact)

I would buy one of these copper ones tomorrow if I had someone close by who could attach it for me. Sadly I don't have the delidding kit or the component to reseal it... by that time it costs too much to redo it.

Yeah I just lent a delid tool off a local forum member and just paid postage, the rest of stuff I already had seeing this was my 4th CPU I've done, if you cpu has already been delidded you don't need the tool at all just keep that in mind to.
