I will test Rockit's IHS Copper well, but I would like to be sure to have a temperature gain (and not really want to retry the Direct Die too)

Yeah that's a large gap to close
Maybe a redo on the sl delid will help that vid gap.

Only good thing I noticed about mono blocks it showed the water jet horizontal instead of vertical
I use horizontal now it seems top help a little on 7900x anyway the chip is a rectangle not a square.

I delidded my CPU my self and 100% sure it's not related to that, it's just the luck of the draw this CPU just isn't to great sadly.

Okay with the silicon lottery inquiry I wasn't aware you had done the delid

I found my limit too of 4.8 on my 7900x seems more a temperature limit more than chip limit but does it matter at that point

Looked into a chiller but I just couldn't do way too pricey
Just haven't looked locally for a chiller system doubt they would be any cheaper than performance pc's offerings in Houston.

Ah yeah Brighttail chip is from SL, there no SL where I live and I'll rather do it my self, I opted for the copper lapped IHS due to it being thinker for the monoblocks and it did help my temps gaps but as most find I still think a normal waterblock does a better job due to it being square and not round, due to my crappy RGB fans I cant push my loop to much as the coolant can't cool down well enough at some point I'll have to change the fans out but for now 4.5ghz is just fine.

Its thicker to cover the removed silicon so theres no gap from IHS to monoblock, as the silicon adds height to the IHS.


Here are my temps after 99m stress testing temps are high due to **** fans lol, and +5c due to the bios bug.

Wider in fact, for the height it must be the same

But since then, I tried the Direct Die without success, and will have to retest (poorly delivered the LM with the IHS)

And I wonder if I will have a gain with the IHS of Rockit or if I leave the original one

I use blender and classroom demo files six loops which is about an hour real bench is such a pain it gets corrupt way too easily
