Pump 1.27v though your cpu and then run a few cinebench runs and post up your temps.
4.8 on that CPU is certainly not the lemon territory. 4.7 you can consider to be fairly decent.

Can't< haha I would be happy with 4.7 but seeing i need 1.25v for 4.6Ghz *currently testing* 4.7 would need up over 1.3v.

    Hi,
You really haven't shown any real voltages yet
I've posted voltages hwinfo shows up to 1.285v on core voltage for 4.8 and 4.7 1.245v or so

I'd say use adaptive +0.001 and additional turbo 1.185 and see what your chip puts out post all the vid's at the least plus all core temps they produce

I'd say 80c on any chip is normal at 4.7 at 1.25v

He means for the copper IHS, my temps for 1.25v on 4.6ghz highest core is around 84c.

    Hi,
Yeah problem with highest core temp it means package temp is even higher
    HWinfo has two package temps
One docile shows the same as highest core temp
Second is the evil package temp that can be up to 10c higher

Either way I wouldn't expect any miracles with a different cap.

The IHS has dropped my temps a few degrees but people mainly want to know if it's fixed the monoblocks issue which for me it has.

What temp all mine are under max core temp.

    Hi,
Yeah it can be worse here's before and after redoing SL delid
If you notice the clocks used per core and the core temp for the cores the improvement will be obvious

I could be wrong but I don't think adaptive voltages and there differences are related to temps at all, it depends on your CPU it's self my 7900x I used adaptive after I delidded it and all cores would sit on 1.21v and a few sat around 1.23v, this 7940x I have now won't turbo to 4.4ghz no idea why it only goes up to 4.1ghz.
