It was the same driver 1828.12.0.1152 that released July 12, 2018

For many friends who used my modded BIOS for R6E and R6A with RST 17.0.0.3713 EFI/OROM
Now Intel has released RST 17.0.0.1063 Beta for working with those 17.0.0.3713

With lastest RST driver I'd notice huge boost for my Intel 600P 1 TB NVME via PCH over RST 16.8.0.1003 here.

Tested under my BIOS 1503 Modded 02000055 Microcode Intel RST EFI / OROM 17.0.0.3713 Intel Lan UNDI 0.0.22 / Boot Agents 0.1.13

Didn't think RST was needed if not using SATA. I'm using a NVMe drive. ?? True. Thanks.

Different components need different drivers . Optane 900P also need optane driver. Other NAND Flash SSD need RST driver
to drive it performance. I can’t use optane driver or Samsung driver for my rigs. :p*

I just have a DVD burner plugged into SATA (Intel controller) so no utility to installed the RST
I will not have a difference on my SSD drives 😄

Windows always provides your SATA Controller driver by default. However those Windows driver default driver performance*
was not recently Optimized for new features of your SSD.

Just like your Samsung 970 PRO which default drive from Windows Storage Controller if you didn’t install Samsung lastest
driver the performance was not best of its features.

Depending on yourself, Installing recently release driver or not. For me lastest drivers always better performance.*

I use Samsung drivers with the 970 EVO and Intel Optane NVMe drivers (I did not put the last ones, they are less efficient)

It will be useful to the RST knowing that I do not have peripherals connected to the Intel controller ?
And the RST v17 drivers are for the 300 series chipsets, not really for the Rampage VI
