ROG STRIX B350-F has no audio

I have installed the latest audio driver (Version 6.0.1.8496), but Windows 10 cannot detect any audio device.

Could anyone offer a tip on how to investigate this?

Check if the audio is enabled in BIOS.

Very sorry, but I definitely should have mentioned that I checked the BIOS to make sure it is enabled. Actually, I even disabled it, reboot the computer, then enabled it again to see if it would make any difference.

I have just updated the BIOS to the latest version 4204, but the problem remains.

Is it a new motherboard? Maybe DOA?

I am sure the motherboard is OK because I installed a brand new copy of Windows 10 on a new SSD, and everything is fine. It has something to do with windows 10.
I have realized this is probably a wrong place for me to ask this question. I will report back if I find a solution for this problem.

I am glad to report the problem has been solved by a repair install of Windows 10 that took 4 to 5 hours.
